ONCE UPON A TIME...

The arrival in Drôme
Winemakers for several generations, the family BOUR moved back to France after the independence of Algeria and has since been in Drôme Provençale in Southern France.

Wishing to continue their profession, they acquired in 1964 in Roussas the Domaine de Grangeneuve, at that time wooded with oaks and some acres of grains. Henri BOUR, the father, had chosen a high quality land. For many years it was "massive work" at Grangeneuve: clearing of the forest, breaking up the land, plowing, clearing debris and preparing the soil, plantings, etc. Finally the vines were planted, but it took another three years for the first harvest and even more to have grapes with good quality potential.
